Purisify (“Purisify“, “we”) provides residential and commercial cleaning in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and the Purisify app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Account and contact details: your name, email address and phone number. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from them, not your password.
- Booking details: the service address, information about the space, the date and time, notes and photos you choose to add, and your booking history.
- Profile photo: only if you add one.
- Payment information: how you chose to pay and what was paid. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Reviews you leave for a cleaner.
- Internal feedback: after a job, our cleaners may record a short rating and note about the visit (for example access, pets or anything the next cleaner should know). It is used only by our cleaners and office to prepare for your bookings; you may ask to see it.
- Device information: a notification token so the app can send you booking updates, and basic technical logs that keep the service secure.

How we use it
- To provide, schedule and deliver the cleaning you book, and to take payment and send receipts and refunds.
- To send you messages about your booking: confirmations, changes, your cleaner being on the way, receipts.
- To answer your questions and handle complaints and claims.
- To keep our service safe and prevent fraud.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Messages we send
Messages about a booking are part of the service and are sent by email, app notification and, where enabled, SMS.
We send offers and news only if you agreed to receive them. You can change this at any time in the app (Profile → Legal and privacy), by using the unsubscribe link in an email, or by contacting us.
Who we share it with
- Your cleaner: after accepting your booking, the assigned cleaner sees your name, the service address, your notes and photos, and your profile photo if you added one. By default cleaners call our office line rather than your phone number.
- Service providers that help us run the service: website hosting, email and SMS delivery, app notifications, payment processing (Stripe), address search and sign-in (Google, Apple). They receive only what they need to do their part.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Some providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. Booking and payment records are kept for at least six years after the end of the tax year, as tax law requires. You can delete your account in the app at any time (Profile → Delete account); records we must keep by law are retained without being linked to your account.
How we protect it
Access to personal information is limited to people who need it to do their work. Connections to the app and website are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify the people affected and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete it. Write to the details on our Contact page; we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
