This notice is for people who apply to work, or work, as cleaners through the Purisify app. It explains what personal information we collect about you, why, who sees it and how long we keep it. By submitting your application you consent to this.
It adds to our general Privacy Policy.
What we collect and why
- Contact details (name, email, phone): to run your account and reach you about jobs.
- Profile photo, short bio, experience, ratings and reviews: shown to clients so they can choose a cleaner and recognise who is coming.
- Identification and work documents (for example government ID, work permit, police check): to confirm who you are and that you may work in Canada. Only our office can open them.
- A selfie at the start and at the end of each job: so our office can confirm that the person on site is the account holder. Only our office sees it; clients never do.
- Payout details (the email for Interac e-Transfer, or your bank institution, transit and account numbers): to pay you. The account number is stored encrypted and shown masked in the app.
- Work records: your availability, the areas and services you cover, job requests and how you answered them, jobs done, photos you add to jobs, earnings and withdrawals.
- Device information: a notification token so we can send you job requests.
Face ID, Touch ID and fingerprint checks happen on your phone. We only learn whether the check passed; we never receive your face or fingerprint data. The app does not track your location.
Who sees it
- Clients see your first name and the initial of your last name, your profile photo, bio, rating and reviews. They do not see your phone number, email, documents or selfies.
- A cleaner you pair with sees your public profile.
- Our office sees everything listed above.
- Service providers that run the app for us (website hosting, email, SMS and notification delivery) process it on our behalf. Some are outside Canada.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
- Selfies taken at the start and end of jobs: deleted automatically 90 days after the job.
- Identification documents and payout details: kept while your account is open and deleted when your account is deleted.
- Records of jobs and payments: kept for at least six years after the end of the tax year, as tax law requires.
Your choices
You can replace your profile photo and payout details in the app at any time, and delete your account in Profile → Delete account once you have no upcoming jobs. You may ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent; if you withdraw consent to something we need in order to work with you, we may not be able to offer you jobs.
